A polished page can still leave basic questions unanswered. Get the names, the medicine's status and the follow-up plan into plain words before deciding what comes next.

A prescription medicine with no prescription
As of September 2026.
Federal rules are broken when a prescription medicine is dispensed without a valid prescription.
FDA puts the absence of a prescription requirement among its online-pharmacy warning signs.
Ask how the clinician assesses you and which pharmacy fills any resulting order. A checkout page is not an answer to either question.

Approval claims on compounded products
As of September 2026.
A compounded medicine, meaning one made or mixed to order, is not FDA-approved. Claiming that approval misleads readers.
FDA registration means a business is listed with that agency. Being listed does not show that FDA has approved the business's medicines.
Ask the service to explain whether the exact medicine is approved. Ask which state licence the pharmacy holds as a separate check.

Research labels beside human treatment claims
As of September 2026.
FDA has warned about unapproved weight-loss products labelled for research while being offered directly for human use.
FDA says these products have unknown quality and could be harmful to health.
Take the exact wording to a clinician if you want it explained. Keep the label's research claim in the question, rather than overlooking it.

A pharmacy name that cannot be confirmed
As of September 2026.
Diabetes and weight-loss medicines use ingredients such as tirzepatide and semaglutide. FDA has found false pharmacy information on made-to-order versions, including pharmacy names that did not exist.
It has also found labels naming a licensed pharmacy that did not make the product.
Check the name in the state record and ask the pharmacy to clarify the product if anything differs.

No way to reach the clinician afterward
FDA flags telehealth services where, after medicine arrives, patients cannot get answers from a licensed doctor.
Ask how follow-up works before the first charge. Keep the answer with the medicine and pharmacy names.
